Inside Blue Gum Lodge..

Blue Gum Lodge has been designed with peace and relaxation in mind.

There is a DVD player for watching
your favourite movies, however there
is no TV reception, instead you could read a book while curled-up in front of the fire or listen to your favourites CD’s.

Blue Gum Lodge is ideal for enjoying good food around the central dining table that comfortably seats 6-8 people. After dinner you could try relaxing on the deck, marvelling at the Milky Way or watching the moonrise over the
ocean.

Crystal clear Tasmanian rainwater runs from all of the taps. There is a large modern bathroom with an electric hot water heater, bathtub and a shower with majestic sea views. The open plan kitchen has all amenities from an old wood burning Aga to a modern electric oven and is fully equipped for self-catering.

Blue Gum Lodge would be suitable for running small healing workshops (yoga, meditation, life coaching etc). Blue Gum Lodge has great potential for intimate small group workshops, working through formal development or more informally where friends and family can quietly solve life's problems around the fireplace with a few bottles of good Tasmanian wine.

Exploring the East Coast..

Blue Gum Lodge makes for a superb, self contained base for exploring along the East Coast of Tasmania. It is perfect for both couples or families, a romantic hideaway or a self catering base for families.

The East Coast is famous for the stunning white beaches of the Bay of Fires and the calm aquamarine waters of Wine Glass Bay.

For the energetic there is the climb up nearby St Patrick's Head (National Parks maintained track 1.5hr return) which provides a superb 360-degree view of the East Coast beaches and back along the Esk valley towards Ben Lomond.

If you don’t feel like venturing too far from the safety of the deck you can simply enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.

The wildlife..

Turn on the outside lights at night, sit back on the deck and smile at the antics of the nocturnal Pademelons (a type of small Kanagaroo), Bennett's Wallabys & Brush-tailed Possums.

The wildlife around the Lodge is relatively tame and the possums are bold and inquisitive and will eat fruit from your hands.

Many of our guests have been truly enchanted by the Australian native wildlife seen at such close range, a unique Australian bush experience.
